C O N F E S S Chpt 2

It was time for 3rd period. The professor was talking about some irritating micro organisms and their... reproductive structure!?

Meh,who cares.I wasn't really interested. So I zoned him out by looking out the window. The snow was really falling hard outside. All the small flurries dropped to the earth creating one big blanket of snow. All of a sudden the Professor was talking louder. In fact it sounded like he was right in front of me.

I whipped my head up, to see the long blonde haired teacher's face snarled in annoyance.

Busted.                              

"Well Mr. Strife, can you answer this question? Or do you find looking at snowflakes more interesting then my class?' He grumbled.

"No sir. Sorry sir." I muttered lowly.

His face twisted into a glare, and he went back to the board. He pointed at a drawing of a cell, saying something about its genetic cell walls.

"This is beyond boring. OMG. I'd rather get detention at Marluxia's class. Studying lit is at least enjoyable compared to this. I can slack off with comic books of something. I don't even NEED Biology!"

My eyes hurt from staring at the board. Which I noticed has highly detailed drawing of Eukaryotic cells. Mr.Even has no life!!

Suddenly sharp pressure struck my head. The pressure was building rapidly. I screamed in agony and clutched my head falling to the floor in the fetal position. My brain felt like it was being strangled by a gorilla. The other kids got up from their seats crowding around me worried. Professor Even snapped his neck around, annoyed that I had interrupted his class again with my cries for help. My eyes felt like they were being squished by ten ton bricks! 'pop' my eyes shot out of my head, and fell in a squishy wet mess to the floor.

Well they wanted to.

'Well Mr. Strife. If you cannot answer this question correctly you'll be sent to detention. I think you know where the principal's office is.'

I nervously stood from my seat and gulped, as I looked at the board trying to recall anything I had been taught within the last 30 minutes.

"Uh.Um,I-I- I think Uh....."

Slaps! Come on brain! If we can remember CSS codes and skate board tricks we can do this!

"Hold it Mr. Even! I think your being a bit unfair." A familiar voice yelled.

I whipped my head to the right of me, and saw Namine stand at her desk looking irked.

The professor chuckled. "And what pray tell Ms. Gaingsborough is so unfair?"

"Your bullying him! All because he can't answer the question. If I'm not mistaken Sir it goes against school policies to send someone to the principals without a legitimate reason. Not being able to answer a question does not count." Namine stated, matter-of-factly to him.

Did she just save my butt? Was she crazy?!

He stared at her irked and coughed loudly to disperse the awkward looks the kids gave him.

"Well Ms. Gainsborough since you seem to have such a mouth on you. How's about you answer the question?" he said hotly.

"Certainly."

"What is the primary purpose the cell wall serves to a plant?" He shot, smirking widely.
"The wall gives cells rigidity and strength, offering protection against mechanical stress. In multicellular organisms, it permits the organism to build and hold its shape. The cell wall also limits the entry of large molecules that may be toxic to the cell. It further permits the creation of a stable osmotic environment by preventing osmotic lysis and helping to retain water. The composition, properties, and form of the cell wall may change during the cell cycle and depend on growth conditions."

She said simply and sat down.

    Mr. Even darted to his board and back to her. All the while his eyes wide and mouth gaped. I looked at the board and back at him.

Did he even write that down?!
       
"W-Well Ms. Gainsborough that. That is correct." He stuttered defeated. Namine nodded and smiled widely at him. Before the Professor went back to the board he quickly turned to me and gave me a heated glare. He leaned down uncomfortably close to my level. His icy blue eyes stared into my soul, and his breath smelled of garlic as he spoke.

"You're lucky now Mr. Strife. That your girlfriend was able to save you. But don't count on it next time."

Before I could comment on how he badly needed a breath mint, he strolled away. The bell rang instantaneously.

I sighed, as I put my books in my bag. As I strapped my bag on I glanced over to Namine. She was talking to Selphie and Xion. They laughed as they looked at a paper in Xion's hand. Selphie noticed me as I stood there and waved at me. This caused Namine to glance over to me! I felt my face heat up as she waved, smiling to me. I averted my gaze to the door and quickly walked out.
     
"Oh man I can't even stare at her without feeling nervous. I'm such a fail." I intoned.
      
"Hey Roxas!" A voice yelled energetically, before slamming their hand down on my shoulder. Irritated I brushed their arm off, and glared up to Tidus.
"Dude seriously?" I snapped. Tidus eyed me widely shocked by my outburst.
      
"Whoa, look at Mr. Windy! Why the long face Rox? Girl troubles?"
     
"No, like it's any of your business." I said exasperated, quickly rushing down the hall.

Tidus grabbed me by the shoulder and spun me around to face him with a devious smirk on his face.
      
"Oh so it is a girl thing! Well then Roxas let your good old pal Tidus the "Love Boat" show you what to do!" He said as he patted my arm.   
"No.Don't.Get.Involved." I seethed, and brushed off his arm again. Tidus flashed his puppy dog eyes, in confusion.   
"Ah come on, you're acting like I'm a creep or something. That's not a way to treat your best friend!" He said puffing his cheeks out in my face. I bated his face away from me, and shook my head.
       

"Look it's not you Tidus, it's just..."    
"Yeah?" He exclaimed.   
"You're kind of a player." I said flatly.

Tidus's mouth dropped open, "What!? No I'm not! I respect women. I'm not some dude who leads them on and then breaks their hearts." He leaned down to me, clutching my shirt sobbing "What do you think I am a Nobody!?"
        
"Hey Roxas!" yelled someone. I swerved around Tidus (he's taller than me okay.) and saw Namine rushing over to me, yelling my name.

How does she know my name?

Panicked I shoved Tidus off of me, causing him to fall to the floor dramatically. I swooped around him, trying to keep calm and cool as she rushed up to me. She smiled at me sweetly a blush on her face from running down the hall.
     
"Mr. Evens' a jerk for trying to send you to the principal's office. Are you okay?" She asked concern in her voice.

"Um, yeah I'm okay. It's what I get for not paying attention in class." I said coolly, nodding my head. "But um. Tha- Thanks for saving me back there! I uh appreciate it." I added quickly.

God that was so not cool!!!! She probably thinks I'm some loser or some-

"No problem! We biology buddies have to stick together right!?" she said enthusiastically, swinging an arm out cheerfully.

"Um, yeah!" I said bashfully, and swung my arm out in cheer.

She quickly looked down at her brown loafers.

"Come on Namine!"One of her friends urged loudly. She perked her head at her friend's voice. Selphie walked past me, and strung her arm around Namine's. The two of them strolled past me, Selphie scowled at me, before quickly pulling her away into the sea of students.

I turned around and walked down the hall like that didn't just happen. For some reason I laughed.
            
"I could have sworn I saw her blush."
